About Emma Lord – Bristol Personal Trainer
Having been a keen fitness enthusiast and gym goer for many years, I decided to turn a hobby into my career and qualified as a Premier Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist in 2004.
My first job was working at the David Lloyd Gym at Brooklands in Surrey where I was lucky enough to work with some very experienced trainers and a range of different clients. Whilst there, I was responsible for pre and post natal training, taught group exercise in circuits, ski fit, golf fit, back care and was made a gym supervisor.
I took my National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer qualification in 2006. Having built a strong foundation of knowledge and with over 500 hours of Personal Training experience, I decided to ‘go out on my own’ and Emma Lord Personal Training began in 2006.
When not training clients, I enjoy keeping my fitness at a high standard in a variety of ways including spinning, running, resistance training and core stability. My other interests include skiing, horse riding, and spending time with my husband and dog.
I take a keen interest in advances in the fitness industry, and in 2010 I became qualified in Exercise for the Management of Low Back Pain.
